Art in nurse education

Nursing educators are finding that the incorporation of art into the nursing curriculum promotes a range of benefits. In a recent study, nursing students found that art as part of the nursing curriculum had these benefits:


"[Arts lent] an interesting hook (enjoyment and engagement with a different way of presenting the material), a deeper level of understanding, developing self understanding, increasing cultural awareness, and developing empathy."1
